Jessica Afonso
Principal Licensed Paralegal
Jessica obtained her Honours Bachelor of Arts at University of Toronto in June 2017. She obtained her Paralegal Education diploma with Honours from Humber College in June 2019. Jessica has been a licensed paralegal since October 2019.
Jessica has a variety of volunteer and work experience. She was extremely involved in extracurriculars during her undergraduate degree, which ranged from the debate team (Model United Nations) to student council (University of Toronto Students’ Union and University of St. Michael’s College Students’ Union). She was a co-founder and President of Get REAL University of Toronto, a chapter of the Get REAL movement. During her paralegal studies, she had her research published for the G7 Research Group, G20 Research Group, and BRICS Research Group. Since completing her studies, Jessica has worked at the Kitchener Courthouse and the Perth Courthouse.
Jessica is currently an active member of her regiment in the Canadian Armed Forces Primary Reserves. She also mentors self-identifying women in their undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto.
